Insert an image in a widget area

You can easily add a clickable image in a widget area on your blog, to refer your readers to a publication for which you are displaying the cover, to one of your academic institutions for which you are displaying the logo, or to show images, by using widgets available in the dashboard of your blog > Appearance > Widgets.

The “Image Widget” widget was added on Hypotheses at a time when the “Image” widget, native to WordPress, did not exist, to compensate for the fact that inserting an image into a widget required coding its display in html.

Since then, WordPress has added the “Image” widget, which offers the same features as the “Image Widget” one, but is native to WordPress, so should be preferred.

Add an event calendar to your blog

Would you like to display a calendar of your unit’s activities, laboratory events or seminar dates?

The “Calendar” widget in the list of widgets on Hypotheses only allows you to display the dates on which articles were published on your blog.
